asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that notwithstanding the repeated written representations of the hon. and gallant Member for South-East Leeds (Major Milner), and the frequent complaints of the police, the War Office continues to infringe the law by non-compliance with the lighting regulations; who is responsible for such non-compliance; and whether he will take immediate disciplinary and other methods to ensure there is no repetition of this public danger?

Stringent instructions on the subject have been issued, and appropriate action will be taken in the case of breach.
