Social Rented Housing: Standards

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what guidance his Department provides on requirements for (a) heating systems, (b) double glazing and (c) security of front and back doors under the decent homes standard; and if he will make a statement. (299364)

The decent homes standard requires that all social housing provides a reasonable degree of thermal comfort. This includes efficient heating. The decent homes standard does not include the security of front and back doors or specify a requirement for double glazing but does allow for the replacement of windows.
