Offensive Weapons Mr. Greville Janner asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will introduce legislation to amend the Restriction of Offensive Weapons Acts, 1959 and 1961, so as to ban the sale, importation, manufacture or exposure for sale of sword-sticks, aerosol tear gas containers, knuckle-dusters, weighted gloves and other goods likely to be used as offensive weapons. Mr. Sharples On present information, my right hon. Friend is not convinced that further legislation is necessary. Aerosol tear-gas containers are already controlled under the Firearms Act, 1968.
