To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list his Department's responsibilities in relation to the export of live animals purely for slaughter.

Responsibility for controls on the export of live animals, including those exported for slaughter, rests with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
