Counter-terrorism Funding

UK funding for counter-terrorism and related matters has been increased on a number of occasions since the events of 11 September 2001. In each case, the funding was increased to meet emerging needs, including management of the relevant risks. By 2008, annual spending on counter-terrorism, intelligence, and resilience will reach £2 billion, which is double what it was prior to 9/11.
