Conventional Military Threats

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what recent assessment he has made of the existing major conventional military threats to (a) the UK and (b) NATO.

As a matter of routine, the capabilities of non-NATO nations to target the UK and NATO are monitored. Current assessments show there are no direct conventional military threats to the UK or NATO. However, this cannot be ruled out in the future.
