Blue Badges

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport pursuant to the answer of 7 November 2006, Official Report, column 1052, on blue badges, what estimate has been made of the number of children aged up to two years who would be affected by the change in eligibility criteria for disabled blue badges; and if he will make a statement.

During the review of the scheme it was estimated that there would be approximately 12,000 children under the age of two who would be eligible for a badge following the proposed change.
