To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs how many bonuses were awarded to senior civil servants working at the Rural Payments Agency in each year between 1997 and 2006; and what the total cost was of those bonuses in each year.

The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) was formed in 2001, and we only hold data from 2003 onwards.

The following table shows how many bonuses were awarded to senior civil servants working in the RPA between 2003 and 2006.
