To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills if he will discuss future allocations of funding in respect of the English as an additional language excellence programme with Peterborough city council; and if he will make a statement.

It is a matter for each local authority—in consultation with their schools forums—to determine the level of funding between different providers and different programmes based on an assessment of local circumstances.
