Human Trafficking: Databases

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if she will make it her policy to adopt the Interpol global database system that allows border checks to be made on documents to tackle human trafficking.

On 25 July 2007, the Prime Minister announced that the UK would link to the Interpol Stolen and Lost Travel Documents Database (SLTD) at the border.
