Pensions: Financial Assistance Scheme

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how much the Financial Assistance Scheme has paid out to members of pension schemes wound up before 6 April 2005 with insufficient funds to cover all entitlements since its inception; and if he will make a statement.

The Financial Assistance Scheme has paid out a total of £10,244,178 to 3,243 members of qualifying schemes as of 16 November 2007.
