Dangerous Dogs Act 1991

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs pursuant to the answer of 12 December 2007, Official Report, columns 700-1W, on the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, how many attacks on people there were by dogs designated as dangerous under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 in each year since 1997 in London.

Member to table 2, 12 December 2007, Official Report, column 701W, citing the number of defendants proceeded against at magistrates courts in Greater London for offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 in each year from 1997 to 2006. We do not hold information on whether the dogs involved were held in contravention of the law.
