To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs pursuant to the answer of 5 December 2007, Official Report, column 1270W, on the European Fisheries Fund, whether he submitted the UK National Strategic Plan to the European Commission by 31 December 2007; and if he will make a statement.

The NSP has now been finalised, and I expect to formally submit it to the Commission shortly.
