Revenue and Customs: Data Protection

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what changes to its administrative procedures on transfer of confidential data HM Revenue and Customs has instituted since the beginning of November 2007.

I refer the hon. Member to Kieran Poynter's interim report which was published on 17 December 2007 and is available in the Library of the House.

Kieran Poynter will consider the need for any further procedural changes in his final report which is expected in the first half of 2008.
