To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many and which models of helicopter deployed in Afghanistan are fitted with winches.

All UK Sea King and all UK Chinooks deployed in Afghanistan are equipped with winches.

I am withholding the number of helicopters deployed as the information would, or would be likely to, prejudice the capability, effectiveness and security of the armed forces.
