Assaults on Police

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many police officers were injured as a result of an assault and took leave of (a) up to one month, (b) two to six months, (c) seven months to a year and (d) more than a year in the latest period for which figures are available, broken down by police force; and how many (i) had to retire because of their injuries and (ii) were assessed for post traumatic syndrome in that period.
