To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what restrictions are imposed on annual increases in service charges charged to domestic tenants by local authorities; and if she will make a statement.

Local authorities are free to decide their own levels of service charge increases, as service charges are a matter for the local authority in its capacity as landlord and are dictated by local conditions.
