To ask the Secretary of State for Health pursuant to the answer of 11 March 2008, Official Report, column 256W, on blood transfusions, how many infected tonsils so far analysed were from V-V or M-V genotypes; and if he will make a statement.

The National Anonymous Tonsil Archive has tested approximately 70,000 pairs of tonsils to date, none of them tested positive.
