To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government whether tree safety inspections required by her Department will require homeowners to pay a specialist to examine regularly their garden trees.

The Department does not require safety inspections to be carried out on trees in private gardens. We have no proposals to make such inspections compulsory.
