Departmental Furniture Dr. Fox To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many (a) chairs, (b) desks and (c) other office furnishings have been purchased by his Department for (i) main buildings and (ii) other departmental offices in each of the last five years; and at what cost in each case. Mr. Kevan Jones Within MOD, each top level budget is individually responsible for assessing furniture requirements and for authorising procurement of furniture, including chairs, desks and other office furnishings. Information on expenditure by individual MOD building is not held centrally. For details of overall departmental expenditure on these items for the last five years I refer the hon.
