To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what steps he is taking to improve the implementation of the Home Energy Conservation Act 1995.

DEFRA consulted on the future of the Home Energy Conservation Act 1995 (HECA) in late 2007 and set out possible options for its future, which included repeal. Policy responsibility for HECA now rests with the Department of Energy and Climate Change and there will be an announcement on its future shortly.
