Energy: Nuclear Power

To ask Her Majesty's Government when they expect to announce their choices for the locations of the next generation of nuclear power stations. [HL2198]

The Minister of State, Department of Energy and Climate Change & Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Lord Hunt of Kings Heath)
We expect to include a list of suitable sites in the nuclear national policy statement (NPS). We expect to consult on a draft nuclear national policy statement, including this list, by autumn 2009. The Nuclear NPS will also be subject to parliamentary scrutiny.
