Taxation: Motor Vehicles

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what assessment he has made of the financial implications for car dealerships in 2009-10 of changes to the taxation treatment of demonstrator motor vehicles introduced with effect from 6 April 2009.

This change was implemented, following consultation with the motor industry, in such a way that it should not cost the industry any extra overall.
