Driving Tests: First Aid

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will bring forward legislative proposals to require candidates for the driving test to undertake training in first aid.

There are no plans to bring forward legislative proposals to require candidates for the driving test to undertake specific training in first aid.

The driving theory test contains three questions relating to first aid. These questions are drawn from two categories: Accident Handling and First Aid. Each candidate is asked two questions on accident handling and one on first aid.
