To ask the Secretary of State for Health what his most recent estimate is of the number of people in (a) Forest of Dean constituency and (b) Gloucestershire who (i) have a visual impairment and (ii) are registered blind.

The number of people registered as blind and partially sighted in Gloucestershire council at 31 March 2008 was 1,530 and 1,885 respectively.
