Carbon Emissions: Standards

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what timetable he has set for completion of his Department's consultation on the term carbon neutral; how many responses to that consultation have been received to date; and if he will make a statement.

The consultation closed on 21 May 2009. There were 59 responses; they are currently being considered in detail. A summary of the responses, and an explanation of our intended next steps, will be published later this year.
