Faith and Social Cohesion Unit

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what support his Department is giving to the Charity Commission's Faith and Social Cohesion Unit.

Mr. Malik
The Department for Communities and Local Government is part-funding the Charity Commission's Faith and Social Cohesion Unit to a total of £1.3 million over financial years 2007-08, 2008-09, and 2009-10. The Charity Commission is also contributing £200,000 over each of these financial years through staff resources.
