EU Grants and Loans: Wales

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer pursuant to the answer of 17 June 2009, Official Report, column 325W, on EU grants and loans: Wales, whether monies received by the Welsh Assembly Government from the EU Convergence Programme are paid through his Department.

The European Commission makes cash payments from the EU Convergence Programme direct to the United Kingdom paying authorities, including the devolved Administrations, not through HM Treasury.
