Higher Education: Tamworth Mr. Jenkins To ask the Minister of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills how many pupils in Tamworth constituency entered higher education in each year since 1997; and what estimate he has made of the number of such pupils entering higher education in (a) 2009, (b) 2010 and (c) 2011. Mr. Lammy The Government do not make forward estimates of the number of students entering higher education disaggregated at a constituency level. The numbers of 18-year-old undergraduate entrants to UK higher education institutions from Tamworth constituency, in each year since 1997, are shown in the table. Figures for the 2008/09 academic year will be available from the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) in January 2010.
