Energy Best Deal

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change pursuant to the answer of 23 March 2009, Official Report, column 171W, on energy: consumers, how much funding (a) his Department and (b) Ofgem allocated to the Energy Best Deal pilot.

The Department provided funding of £150,000 for the national roll-out of the Energy Best Deal in England and Wales during the winter of 2008-09. Ofgem funded the pilot phase in 2007-08, which cost £27,000.
