To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer (1) how many cases were handled by the Tax Credit Office in each year since 1997;

(2) what percentage of cases handled by the HM Revenue and Customs were handled by the Tax Credit Office in each year since 1997.

The Tax Credit Office (TCO) was set up by the former Inland Revenue in October 1999.
