Further Education: Admissions

To ask the Minister of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills how many places at further education colleges were unfilled due to last minute cancellations in the last year for which figures are available; and what the cost to his Department or its predecessor was.

Information is collected on the number of enrolments at each FE college which influences the amount of funding paid out by the Learning and Skills Council. FE colleges are not required to provide information on the number of unfilled places.
