Davies To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change what information his Department holds for comparative purposes on historical levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Joan Ruddock The Department uses data that are available from several sources, including the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report, the World Data Centre for Greenhouse Gases and the World Resources Institute, to obtain information on long term historical levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. DECC also holds information on carbon dioxide levels measured at Mace Head in the Republic of Ireland since 1995.
