Youth Justice Board: Finance

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice how much funding the Youth Justice Board is providing to the Prison Service’s Women and Young People Group in 2009-10.

The Youth Justice Board has provided NOMS Service Development Group (formerly Women’s and Young People’s Group) with £118.180 million of funding to deliver approximately 2,400 custodial places and associated services for all young men aged 15 to 17 and 17-year-old young women during the 2009-10 period. On occasion this may also include 16-year-old young women and 18 to 19-year-old young men and women.
