Higher Education: Stroud Mr. Drew To ask the Minister of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (1) what proportion of 18 to 22 year olds exclusively resident in Stroud constituency were studying at university in (a) 1997 and (b) on the latest date for which figures are available; (2) what proportion of 18 year olds in Stroud constituency participated in higher education in 2008-09. Mr. Lammy The Department does not collect data on the number of residents in a particular constituency who are not in higher education, which would be necessary to calculate a proportion. It is, therefore, not possible to calculate the proportion of 18 to 22 year olds resident in Stroud constituency who were studying at university.
