To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs whether his Department plans to amend the Environmental Permitting Regulations; and if he will make a statement.

The Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 are currently before Parliament and are anticipated to come into force on 6 April 2010. These regulations form part of the second phase of environmental permitting, which will amend and expand the current regime.
