The UK played an active role in negotiations regarding the Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Protocol on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment at the 2001 Diplomatic Conference held in Cape Town, South Africa. The UK is committed to its ratification, and will be issuing a Call for Evidence seeking stakeholder views on this matter in the near future.
