To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what the ratio of lower quintile house prices to lower quintile earnings was in (a) England and (b) each government office region in each year since 1996.

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government what the average cost was of (a) a detached house, (b) a semi-detached house, (c) a terraced house, (d) a flat and (e) an average dwelling in (i) England, (ii) Wales, (iii) each Government Office region and (iv) each local authority area in (A) 1996-97 and (B) the most recent period for which figures are available.
