Rented Housing: Overcrowding Justine Greening To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government (1) how many and what proportion of (a) households and (b) people in the (i) private and (ii) social rented sector there were living in overcrowded conditions in (A) London and (B) England in each year since 1997; (2) how many and what proportion of (a) households and (b) people in the (i) private and (ii) social rented sector classified as living in overcrowded conditions there were in each London borough in each year from 1997 to 2009. The Survey of English Housing samples is too small to provide reliable estimates at local authority level.
