In the Elite the period of service is thirteen years for the artillery and infantry, and eleven years for the cavalry; in the Landwehr twelve years for the artillery, and infantry, and fourteen years for the cavalry; in the Landsturm six years. It will be observed that the training courses are not annual. The periods of minimum training on enlistment for the various arms of the Territorial Force are at present under consideration; and the training to be carried out annually in addition to annual camp have not yet been definitely fixed.
