asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry when he will next meet the chairman of the British Steel Corporation to discuss the proposed corporate plan for the steel industry.

I meet the BSC Chairman from time to time to discuss major issues including the Corporation's planning. At present no further meetings have been arranged.
