Tuberculosis (Free Treatment) Major Procter asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that in the areas of certain local authorities tuberculosis officers are only prepared to give free treatment to post-sanatorium patients undergoing treatment for tuberculosis at times when those in employment are unable to attend, thus making it necessary for them to be treated outside the area of their own local authorities, in which event they have to pay for the treatment; and whether he will take steps to remove this anomaly, particularly in view of the steps which are being taken generally to give financial assistance to sufferers from this complaint and their dependants? Mr. E. Brown No, Sir. But, if my hon. and gallant Friend will send me particulars of any cases on which his Question is based, I will make further inquiry.
