Miss Horsbrugh The number of teachers over the age of 65 employed on 31st March, 1953, the latest date for which figures are available, was 587. Mr. Morley Can the Minister say whether the number of teachers who remain on after the age of 65 is increasing or not? Miss Horsbrugh Yes, Sir, the number is increasing. In March, 1951, there were 409; in March, 1952, there were 476; and I have given the number for March, 1954.
