Ruan Disturbances MR. LONSDALE I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has any information respecting a conflict between the Irish Constabulary and a party of moon lighters at Ruan, near Ennis, on Sunday night; whether any shots were exchanged; and whether any arrests were made. MR. BIRRELL On Sunday afternoon last between five and six o'clock two policemen were escorting a man who is under police protection when several shots were fired from a wood through which the road passes. The police fired two shots in return, and at once entered the wood in the direction from which the shots appeared to come, but failed to discover the offenders. No one was injured.
