[36362] Mr. Sproat My Department was created only in April 1992.The available figures for standard rate motor mileage claims in my Department are as follows 1993–94: £82,2731994–95: £75,210.28 For the period 13 April 1992 to 31 March 1993 the information is not available in the format requested. The saving in the last year if the maximum rate that could be claimed was set at the lowest rate—until 1 October 1995—of 35.7p per mile would be £1,985.36.
