Beef

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what action he is taking to ensure that beef production is maintained at a satisfactory level.

I would refer the hon. Member to my replies to him of 15th and 17th February 1977.—[Vol. 926, c. 179 and 690–6.] Our objective for beef in the current CAP price discussions is to secure continuing support arrangements which will maintain production in the United Kingdom at a satisfactory level.
