Milk Quota

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what proposals he has to enable tenants to acquire an interest in milk quota; and whether he has any plans to permit tenants to lease to others unused quota belonging to their holdings.

I am conscious of the interests of both tenants and landlords in milk quotas. I am considering how these interests can best be recognised in the context of possible arrangements for allowing quota to be transferred separately from land.
