Light Aircraft And Helicopters (Noise)

asked the President of the Board of Trade what proposals he has to introduce noise limits for light aircraft and helicopters.

The initial noise certification plan excludes both helicopters and aircraft less than 12,500 lb. maximum take-off weight. Each category presents special problems of noise reduction and, pending further study, we do not think it expedient to defer the  substantial benefits which the initial plan is intended to secure.
