Goods For Persia (Requisitioning Compensation) 82. Mr. Burden asked the President of the Board of Trade why, in the current estimates, a sum of £325,000 has been provided in connection with compensation for requisitioning and delaying goods destined for Persia. Mr. Amory This sum is in respect of compensation for consignments of sugar and rail equipment which were requisitioned by the previous Government when the goods were on their way to Persia in September, 1951.
