asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps he is taking to improve the provision of hospital beds and associated facilities in the Royal Northern and Whittington Hospital, Islington, N.19.

The North West Metropolitan Regional Hospital Board proposes to provide some additional beds and also a small intensive therapy unit at the Royal Northern Hospital. As regards Whittington Hospital I would refer the hon. Member to my reply on 24th July.—[Vol. 804, c. 288.]
